Don't Let History Repeat Itself

In every generation, there's a choice. Stand up for justice, equality, and human dignity—or stay silent while hate divides us.

The Wrong Side of History fights bigotry, fascism, racism, and discrimination wherever it emerges. Because when we look back, we want to know we stood on the right side.

The Warning Signs Are Clear

History has shown us the cost of complacency. From the rise of authoritarianism to the normalization of hate speech, the patterns are unmistakable. But so is our power to change course.

We recognize the escalating rhetoric, the scapegoating of vulnerable communities, and the erosion of democratic norms. These aren't isolated incidents—they're part of a dangerous trajectory that we've seen before.

Our Power to Shape Tomorrow

We believe in a future where diversity is celebrated, where democracy thrives, and where every person can live with dignity. That future isn't guaranteed—it's something we must fight for, together.

Every generation faces its test. This is ours. The question isn't whether we'll face challenges, but how we'll respond to them. Will we be passive observers or active participants in justice?

Our Mission

The Wrong Side of History exists to confront and dismantle systems of bigotry, fascism, hate, racism, and discrimination through education, advocacy, and direct action.

We believe that understanding history's patterns is essential to preventing its worst chapters from repeating. By studying how societies have fallen to authoritarianism and hate, we can recognize the warning signs and take action before it's too late.

Our Values

Justice Over Comfort

We choose difficult truths over easy lies. Real progress requires confronting uncomfortable realities about our past and present.

Unity Through Diversity

Our strength comes from bringing together people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences in common cause.

Democracy in Action

We believe in the power of organized people to create change through democratic participation and civic engagement.

Education as Liberation

Knowledge of history, systems of oppression, and successful resistance movements empowers communities to fight back.

Local Power, Global Impact

Change happens when communities organize locally while connecting to broader movements for justice.

The History We're Fighting

The Rise of Fascist Movements

From the 1930s, we learned how quickly democratic societies can slide toward authoritarianism when good people remain silent.

Civil Rights Violations

The 1950s and 60s showed us both the horror of systematic oppression and the power of organized resistance to overcome it.

Today's Fight Continues

From voter suppression to hate crimes, the tactics may evolve, but the fight for justice remains as urgent as ever.

But history also shows us the power of organized resistance. The abolitionists, the suffragettes, the civil rights movement, the resistance fighters—they all faced seemingly impossible odds. They won because they refused to accept injustice as inevitable.

Today, we carry on that tradition. Because the arc of the moral universe doesn't bend toward justice on its own—it bends because people like you choose to pull it in the right direction.

Join the Fight

The fight against bigotry and fascism isn't a spectator sport. It requires all of us, working together, using our unique skills and resources to build the world we want to see.
